Discover the events and social initiatives supported by Grupo Alves Bandeira in June!
2023-06-30During June, Grupo Alves Bandeira was present and supported various events once again held locally and regionally throughout the country.
To celebrate Children's Day, which took place on June 1st, Albi had a busy schedule with activities in 4 different schools, namely in Penafiel, Porto, Aveiro, and Coimbra, aiming to celebrate the lives and joy of children on this special day.
On June 3rd, Alves Bandeira supported the Rally Petrolettes de Coimbra, an annual motorcycle ride organized by a group of women who share a passion for motorcycles and adventure. This year, the chosen route for the event passed once again through the Bairrada Route, with a strategic stop at the Montemor-o-Velho gas station.
The 5th meeting of the Coimbra Supercars group took place on June 4th in Vila Nova de Poiares, with the support of Alves Bandeira and Falken Tyres. This event brought together over 200 cars from across the country and consisted of two car rides through the central region and an activity at the Poiares Karting Track, concluding with a gathering for all participants at the same location.
On the same day, the 16th Touristic Ride of the Vespa Friends of Quiaios took place, an event supported by Alves Bandeira, which traditionally involves various cultural activities in the selected municipalities so that participants can enjoy the ride even more.
On June 10th, Alves Bandeira supported a football tournament organized by the São Romão Sports Association (ASDR) in Seia, which brought together around 120 athletes and 400 spectators. The tournament, with the presence of Albi, gathered various sports clubs from several cities in the north-central region of the country, including ASDR itself, Seia Football Club, Nogueirense, Fulafães, Sport Lisboa e Nelas, Académica Sporting Clube de Arganil, and Académica de Viseu.
In the Pampilhosa do Botão area, Mealhada, Alves Bandeira had the pleasure of sponsoring the 2nd Alves Bandeira Tournament, a football competition for children and youth organized by the Pampilhosa Football Club, which featured several teams from across the country, and where Albi once again delighted the youngest participants.
On June 11th, the Anadia Capital do Espumante Trail took place with the support of Alves Bandeira. This event had the participation of over a thousand athletes in two races (30 km and 20 km) and a walk. It was a lively day that featured sparkling wine and the typical roasted piglet sandwiches from the region, and the participants were also able to refuel with special discounts at the renewed Anadia gas station.
On June 18th, Albi represented Alves Bandeira at the 3rd Solidarity Walk of the Parents-in-Network Association, a group whose mission is to "bring together, in a nationwide movement, families of people with all kinds of disabilities, mobilizing society as a whole for the common cause of their inclusion, in line with the defense of human rights advocated by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities." This event, which brought together more than 200 people, including some employees of Grupo Alves Bandeira, in particular the President Rui Bandeira, aimed to gather the members of this association for another enjoyable social activity, which took place at Pateira de Óis da Ribeira in Aveiro, a space with fabulous natural landscapes, featuring music, food, and a lot of joy.
The 4th edition of the Avelar Sunset Trail took place on June 24th and featured three different races: a children's race, a short trail (15km), and a long trail (22km). There was also a 10km walk that took advantage of the natural landscapes of the Serra de Sicó, passing through the renowned Fragas de S. Simão.
On June 24th and 25th, Alves Bandeira supported the Baixo Mondego Motorfestival, which took place at the Montemor-o-Velho Nautical Center. This event featured three main attractions: a car exhibition, a drift show, and an off-road vehicle exhibition.
During the same weekend, the fourth edition of Catrapim - Children's Arts Festival took place in the Bussaco National Forest, attracting thousands of children and families.
This festival offered various activities for the attending children, including theater, music, puppetry, show cooking, magic, and other recreational activities. Alves Bandeira had its own space at this festival, coordinated by the Retail Academy Team and the Albi Schools Project. Throughout the two days, there were several games for the little ones to enjoy, all integrated around the theme of sustainability. As is the case in all children's events, Albi was present to entertain the youngest participants.
Yesterday, on June 29th, it was the turn of Alves Bandeira and Albi to liven up the last day of training for the AAC Rugby Schools and offer a summer gift to all the children and young people present. This joint action once again reinforces the commitment and partnership that have been established and consolidated through a longstanding connection.
